2D CFD Flutter of the Great Belt Bridge

The animations show flutter and limit cycle oscillations of the Great Belt Bridge, simulated using the Vortex Method in 2D. The first animation shows the velocity field, while the second shows the particle field.

The simulations are performed using Guido Morgenthal’s VXflow.
